AFTER DINNER COCKTAIL
How’s that for an original name?
Ingredients: Ice cubes 1 part triple sec 1 part apricot liqueur 1 splash of lime juice
Glass:Martini
Preparation:Shake the ingredients and strain into the glass.
DOM PEDRO
Originally Dom Pedro’s are made with Kahlua or whiskey. However, don’t limit it – experiment with cream liqueur, peppermint liqueur, hazelnut liqueur … in fact, just about anything can be added to a Dom Pedro.
Ingredients: Ice cream 1 or 2 shots of your liqueur or spirits of choice Milk (optional – add milk to make the drink less thick)
Glass:Bif wine glass
Preparation:Blend the ingredients and pour into the glass. Garnish with shavings of chocolate and serve with a straw.
GODFATHER
Ingredients: Ice cubes 2 parts whiskey 1 part Amaretto
Glass:Low ball
Preparation:Shake the vodka and liqueur and strain into the ice-filled glass. Float the cream.
Ingredients: Ice cubes 1 part green crème de menthe (peppermint liqueur) 1 part white crème de menthe 1 splash cream
Glass:Martini
Preparation:Shake the ingredients and strain into the glass.
Garnish: Mint leaves
IRISH COFFEE
The classic after dinner upper.
Ingredients: Ice cubes 1 or 2 shots whiskey (Irish of course) Hot filter coffee 1 shot cream, lightly whipped
Glass:Toddy, a tall mug with a handle
Preparation:Pour the whiskey in the glass and top up with the coffee. Float the cream on top.
Tip: Heat the cream slightly to make it float easier
MUDSLIDE
A Cocktail Mixing Master favorite.
Ingredients: 1 part coffee liqueur 1 part vodka 1 part cream liqueur 2 scoops vanilla ice cream 1 chocolate cookie Chocolate sauce Whipped cream
Glass: Any large glass, like a parfait glass.
Preparation:Blend the first 5 ingredients. Drizzle some chocolate sauce on the inside of the glass, along the sides. Pour in the blended ingredients and top up with whipped cream and more chocolate sauce.
VODKA STINGER
Ingredients: Ice cubes 2 parts vodka 1 part crème de menthe (peppermint liqueur)
Glass:Low ball
Preparation:Stir the ingredients with ice and and strain into the ice-filled glass.
WHITE RUSSIAN
Ingredients: Ice cubes 2 parts vodka 1 part coffee liqueur 1 part cream
Glass:Low ball or martini
Preparation:Shake the vodka and liqueur and strain into the glass. Float the cream.
