Here you will find the world’s most popular and easy to make cocktails with tequila.
Tequila cocktails tend to be strong. You might have heard:
“One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, FLOOR! Five tequila, Six tequila, Seven tequila, MORGUE!”.
Tequila is certainly not for the faint-hearted and can cause a serious hangover. Click here to go to our Hangover Cures Guide.
Tequila is often consumed neat as a shooter and as you might know, it is the perfect medicine to get a party going. Click here for our Tequila Shooter Recipes Guide.
Apart from all the shooters, there are also many tequila cocktails using it as base ingredient.
Tequila is made primarily in and around the Mexican town of Jalisco. The Margarita is probably the best known and most widely drank tequila cocktail. It is usually served in a cocktail glass (sometimes referred to as a “Margarita” glass), with a salt frosted rim.
The most common types are white (or “silver”) and gold tequila. Generally it does not matter which one you use in your cocktails. You might also come across “tequila 100% Agave”. This is a better quality, but also a more expensive type of tequila.
